Zafran Security Raises $60 Million in Series C Funding

The cybersecurity startup will use the investment to accelerate product innovation and global expansion.

Funding

Cybersecurity startup Zafran Security on Tuesday announced raising $60 million in a Series C funding round that brings the total raised by the company to $130 million.

Founded in 2022, New York City-based Zafran takes an agentless, API-based approach to identify and remediate cyber threats.

The company’s AI-native exposure management platform was designed to proactively prevent vulnerability exploitation, by integrating autonomous agents throughout the entire vulnerability management lifecycle.

As threat actors weaponize newly disclosed security defects faster, automating the process through AI, Zafran’s platform helps organizations act before exposures can lead to an incident.

The company’s products integrate with existing security tools and rely on AI agents to identify, add context to, and address weaknesses by mapping them to controls and assessing the exploitability of an exposure.

According to Zafran, its agents can autonomously discover asset ownership, assess the impact of patches, and deploy automated fixes and mitigations.

Zafran’s Series C funding round was led by Menlo Ventures, with additional support from Cyberstarts, Knollwood Investment, PSP Growth, Sequoia Capital, and Vintage Investment Partners.

The company will use the investment to accelerate product innovation and global expansion.

“We must not allow attackers to claim the AI advantage. This investment propels our AI innovation forward, building a new model for exposure management through autonomous agents that empowers defenders to fight back,” Zafran co-founder and CEO Sanaz Yashar said.
