GRC Firm Vanta Raises $150 Million at $4.15 Billion Valuation

Risk management and compliance solutions provider Vanta has raised more than $500 million since 2021.

California-based GRC firm Vanta announced on Wednesday that it has raised $150 million in a Series D funding round, which brings the total raised by the company since 2021 to $504 million.

Vanta previously raised $150 million in a Series C funding round that valued the company at $2.45 billion.

The latest funding round, which brings the company’s valuation to $4.15 billion, was led by Wellington Management, with participation from Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Sequoia, J.P. Morgan, Craft Ventures, Y Combinator, Atlassian Ventures and CrowdStrike Ventures.

Vanta has developed what it calls a trust platform designed to simplify and centralize security and compliance for organizations. The platform integrates with hundreds of third-party tools for cloud infrastructure, version control, productivity, and identity services.

The company’s products can be used for automated compliance, risk management, vendor risk management, continuous GRC, auditing, and personnel and access management.

The security firm has also announced the launch of AI agents designed to help employees with various tasks, including security questionnaire and workflow automation.

Vanta says its solutions are used by more than 12,000 organizations across 58 countries, including major companies such as Atlassian, Duolingo, Icelandair, Omni Hotels, and Snowflake.

“With this new funding, we’ll accelerate Vanta’s AI innovation and expansion into new areas like third-party risk and government compliance—solving more of the real, day-to-day challenges our customers face,” said Christina Cacioppo, CEO of Vanta.
